We are Michigan Wedding Photographers

If you’ve found this page you are probably in the midst of planning a wedding.  It can be a daunting task.  When we planned our Wedding we were stressed.  We rushed from vendor to vendor trying to figure it all out, and even after we had everything in place the stress didn’t go away.  There were just so many things to do and so much pressure from family and friends.

Finally, we met with a vendor a week before the ceremony to finalize plans.  They reminded us that all the hoopla and noise surrounding a wedding doesn’t matter.  The important thing is the two people getting married and the memories you will create that day with family and friends.  After that meeting, we felt that so much pressure was off our shoulders and we were able to focus on each other.  It made a world of difference.

We love to help people the same way.  Helping you remember the important moments from the special day is one of our great passions.  We want you to focus on each other that day, and let us help you remember every moment for the rest of your lives.  We would love to be a part of telling your love story to your grandchildren.

“That’s all well and good,” you say, “but I need details!”  No problem.   Here are a few FAQs.

What are your prices?

We want to caution you not to base your decisions on a photographer solely on the listed price or starting price.  There are a wide variety of pricing strategies that photographers use and there can be surprises after your wedding day.  We believe our system is as simple as possible, but can be customized based on your needs.  Please read the next FAQ to understand what we offer.

A typical wedding with getting ready photos through first dance coverage will need at least 6 hours of photography coverage.  The time starts when we arrive and runs continuously until we leave.  For 6 hours of coverage we charge $1,500.

We do offer services for shorter weddings where only the ceremony and a few portraits after the ceremony will be taken.  Our minimum price for shooting an event is $1000 for 2 hours.

Your time, and the digital images are included, so what do you mean by tailoring your services?  What al-a-cart items do you have?

The first thing we can do is change the amount of time we are providing coverage for.  We offer up to 12 hours of coverage per day.

We offer a second photographer taking photos from different vantage points or in different locations at the same time, and there is a $100 per hour charge for that service (minimum 4 hours).

Wedding albums are available.  We offer different options on how an album would be created.  You can choose the photos, or we can, whichever you prefer.  Wedding albums can get very expensive and we really need to have a conversation regarding your expectations before providing a price.

What does the pricing listed above include?

We live in a digital age.  That means most people want digital photos for social media and to share with family and friends.  That’s why we provide all of the final images to you via an online gallery that you can download onto your computer.  This means you get the high-resolution images to download at no extra cost.  We also include rights to print hard copies of those images anywhere you like.  In case you aren’t aware, some photographers will limit your rights so that you can only print with them.  This is based on how photographers charged before the digital era.  We think this is a pain in the butt, and not worth trying to police.  Similarly, we provide you the right to share the images on social media without referencing us, or having our name stamped on the photo.  Again, this is something we just don’t feel is worth policing.  Also, our goal is for you to share all these images so that your friends ask you who you had take all these amazing images.  We feel the best advertisement we can have is a happy client rather than one who is forced to post our name on their socials.

In the same online gallery where you download your images, you will be able to purchase a wide variety of prints (canvases, metal prints, acrylic prints, framed prints, etc.) from a high quality professional print shop.  Those will be delivered directly to you.  We love having the images we intend to hang on our wall printed this way.  They turn out stunning and have lasted.  If you want to save money on the printing price, or just prefer a different place, you can always take your digitals elsewhere.

We always tell our couples to plan on at least one phone meeting a couple weeks before the wedding.  We want to make sure we cover the important parts of the day for you.  We send a questionnaire ahead of time to feel out your goals and expectations, and we meet at least once to go over that ahead of time.  However, we are always available if you need us.  You can text, email, or call us any time.  If you feel you need more meetings with us or want to chat, that’s great!  At least one pre-wedding meeting is needed though.

Everything sounds great! How do I reserve my date?

We require a 20% deposite and a signed contract to reserve a date. Everything can be done online for speed and simplicity. Click on the schedule a consultation button, text us, email us, or call us. We can work out the details and have your date reserved the same day most of the time.

This silly website didn’t answer my questions!

Sorry! Text, email, set up a consultation or call and we will answer them!
