Live Wedding Painting

Your love story in brushstrokes

There’s something timeless about watching art unfold right in front of you. A live painter at your wedding brings a completely new layer of magic — capturing the emotion, color, and energy of your day in real time.

Every Artist has their own preference when it comes to choosing the right tools to assist in creating a masterpiece. Our artist uses a variety of mediums to accomplish her own unique style. In addition to using acrylic paint, she incorporates acrylic markers that allow for sharper lines and a bolder color pallet in contrast to muted colors. Watercolor pencils are also used which allows the option of a translucent effect. This allows her to produce depth and shadows. Instead of traditional cloth canvas she prefers a wooden canvas. The wood offers a smoother surface and enables her to produce more detail.

Pricing

Live wedding painting experiences start at $1,400. Final pricing depends on location, coverage, and artistic scope.

If you’d like one of your wedding photos turned into a painting after your big day, we can do that too. One painting would start at $700.

What to Expect

Your painter will arrive ready to create a work of art inspired by your day — whether it’s your first dance, ceremony, or another unforgettable moment. Guests love to watch the painting come to life, and you’ll end up with a keepsake that’s truly yours.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions from our Artist

  • What is needed to book your services?

A retainer of 20% of the agreed upon cost to secure the date and a signed agreement. The remaining event fee is due no later than 7 days prior to the event.

  • How Long do you Paint for on my wedding day?

Every day is a little bit different, and we will have to discuss the details. However, I usually arrive about an hour before the reception to map out the background before guests are present. In most cases, I will stay 3-4 hours at the reception. During this time I block in colors and work from photographs that either I will take myself with my phone or the photographers capture of that moment.

  • Do you finish the painting the day of?

No, as skilled as I am unfortunately it takes time to create the effect you see on my previous examples. I will do my best to have everything mapped out and get as far along as I possibly can. I have over 200 different bottles of paint colors as well as acrylic markers and bringing them all with me is impossible. I will take the painting home with me where it typically will take me 2-3 weeks to complete. During the more popular seasons it may take longer but I will be in touch through the whole process offering updates along the way. When complete I seal it with an acrylic friendly matte liquid to ensure a protective long-lasting coat.

  • What moment will you capture?

About a month before the wedding day, I will contact you through call or text (whichever you prefer) to discuss your preference.  I can paint just about any pose from saying your “I dos” at the alter or taking your first dance as a married couple.

  • Can you paint from a photograph rather than live at the wedding?

Yes, I can paint from a photograph of your choosing the cost may vary but the time frame of which it can be completed is about the same as the live painting option.
