Some weddings are beautiful. Some are wild. This one was both — full of energy, laughter, and personality from start to finish.

The day took place at Springfield Oaks in Oakland County, Michigan, one of our favorite venues for couples who want open space, gorgeous sunsets, and room to truly celebrate. From the start, you could feel the vibe — not stiff or overly formal, just pure fun and connection.

The bride and groom rocked matching Nike Air Force 1s, which set the tone for the entire day. Stylish, comfortable, and totally them. Between the laughter, the dancing, and the nonstop smiles, you could tell everyone was there to have a great time.

As the evening light softened, we slipped away for sunset portraits across the grounds of Springfield Oaks. The glow was perfect — warm light filtering through the trees, that golden tone that makes everything feel romantic and cinematic. Those portraits were some of our favorites from the season.

Then came one of the most memorable requests we’ve ever had — the groom wanted a Spider-Man-inspired photo with his best man. They nailed it. The pose, the energy, the commitment, and we worked up some lighting to match. It was the perfect example of how to make your wedding photos personal and fun.

When it came time for cake, things didn’t stay clean for long. The couple really went for it, smearing frosting across each other’s faces while everyone cheered them on. It was the kind of lighthearted chaos that makes wedding receptions unforgettable.
